1 pound hamburger
1 onion, diced
1 carrot, diced
1 rib celery, diced
1/4 head red cabbage, finely shredded
Salt, pepper and herbs
3/4 cup beef stock
2 teaspoons corn starch
2 tablespoons Worcerstershire
1 cup cooked rice
Savory pie dough
Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet until meat is browned and onion is softened. Add carrot, celery and cabbage. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes, or until cooked. Add stock and bring to a boil.
Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water. Remove from heat and stir in cornstarch and water. Add beef, rice and worcestershire. Season to taste and pour in a thick pie crust. Cover with more crust and bake until browned.
