Italian Meatloaf

1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound italian sauasage
1 slice bread, torn into pieces
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 clove minced garlic
1 tablespoon minced parsley
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
4 thin slices of ham
4 thin slices of mozarella

Combine all ingredients except the ham and the cheese. On an 18" x 10" sheet of foil, spread mixture into a 3/4" thick rectangle. Cover this with the ham slices, then the cheese slices. Carefully roll the meat up into a cylindar then pinch the seams together.

Lay this roll seam side down on the foil, then form the foil around the meatloaf into a cradle. Puncture the foil, but not the meatloaf, in several places with a knife.

Put the foil-lined loaf on a rack in a baking dish and bake at 325o for one hour. Let sit fifteen minutes, covered, before slicing.
