Lemon Lime Punch

2 lemons, very thinly sliced
1 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick, broken
1 cup cold water
2 cup white rum
1 quart sparkling water
2 quarts lime-aide

Boil sugar, water and cinnamon stick for five minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for five minutes. Add remaining ingredients and stir well. Add more sugar to taste, if desired. Serve in tall glasses over ice with a thin slice of lime.
