Finnish Flat Bread
1-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 tablespoon sugar
1-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup shortening
1 cup buttermilk
Prehead oven to 350°.
- In a bowl, combine flours, sugar, baking powder, salt and
baking soda. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse
crumbs.
- Add milk and mix just until dough in moistened. Knead on a
floured board for 3-5 minutes. Pat onto an ungreased 12-inch
pizza pan.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until golden. Cool for 10
minutes before removing to a wire rack. Cut into pieces.
