Becky's Flank Steak (Garlic Soy Satay)
1 flank steak, about 1-1/2 to 2 lbs
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup cooking oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
- There are two methods of preparation for this flank steak:
- Method One: Marinate whole steak in remaining ingredients
overnight then grill over hot coals until medium rare; slice on
bias.
- Method Two: Slice on bias, marinate slices in remaining
ingredients overnight, then skewer on satay sticks (bamboo
skewers) and grill. In this case, serve with Satay Sauce (qv)
