Cuisinart Chocolate Cake
3 eggs
1 & 1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
1 cup butter
3/4 cup milk
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
- Using metal blade, process eggs and sugar until light, fluffy and pale yellow, about 90 seconds. Add cocoa and process 25 - 30 seconds to combine. Scrape down work bowl. Cut butter into 1" pieces and add to mixture; process
until creamy, about 15 seconds.
- With the motor running, pour milk and vanilla through feed tube. Scrape work bowl. Add flour and baking soda and pulse just until flour disappears, 2 or 3 pulses. Pour into two greased and floured round layer pans, or one
rectangular baking pan, and bake at 350° until done, about 30 minutes.

Note: For a zingy flavor and nice texture substitute plain ygurt for
